This Pentair/Sta-Rite pump is a fully submersible, portable, high capacity pump designed for use by professionals in draining pools and spas as well as for general purpose applications. Its heavy cast iron body withstands regular handling while a brass base prevents staining of pool floor surfaces. The 1/2 HP motor is oil-filled and sealed with silicone carbide shaft seal for longer service life and cooler running. California Title 20 Compliant NOTE: Not for continuous duty use in waterfalls, fountains, etc., or for pumping acid solutions in conjunction with pool service work.
