Do not use any additional leverage such as pipes, etc. To remove smaller clamp lids on equipment such as Sta-Rite's "SuperMax", use tab and rotate prong so its arrow aligns with TOP arrow on the body. For larger clamps, i.e. Pentair's "IntelliFlo", "SuperFlo", or "WhisperFlo", align prong arrow with BOTTOM arrow.
